The consortium had the chance to know each other in person for the first time and learn about the different foci and expertise of each participating institution. The main aim of this meeting was the definition and presentation of the objectives and the key outputs of the project and make sure that there is a common understanding of the achievements that should be reached during the course of the project.
Attached to the Kick-off meeting, the study visit was realized given the fact that Austria and especially the region of Styria has a very strong focus on automotive engineering. Therefore, the coordinator took the possibility to give a more detailed insight in the national/local industry and show practices on how universities and companies work together on a national/local platform to increase the employability of students. Further, the consortium visited Pankl Racing Systems AG in Kapfenberg and Magna Steyr in Graz.
All in all, the meeting was a great success and very fruitful, and the consortium is looking forward into 3 successful project years.
