The training topics included sustainable urban mobility planning and internal combustion engine (ICE) technology, taught by Torsten Merkens and Thomas Esch from FH Aachen (Germany). Sanjarbek Ruzimov from Politecnico di Torino (Italy) summarized the transition from ICE to alternative powertrain. Further, Wolfgang Kriegler from FH JOANNEUM Graz (Austria) gave insights into fuel options for ICE, ICE/electric hybrid powertrain, energy management & power storage and fuel cell powertrain.

The UNITED team was grateful and honored to be welcomed by the vice-chancellor from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, who introduced all participants to the history of the university and bestowed the Certificates of Attendance.

A visit to DreamEDGE was also made possible, the UNITED company partner in Malaysia, Cyberjaja, which gave all the participants an opportunity to see their innovative and versatile work and research towards sustainable technology development.

At the social dinner, the team enjoyed typical delicious Malaysian sea food at Melaka Crystal Bay.
