The project participants had a very warm welcome by the rector and the international office of Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The training started with sessions on teaching basics in vehicle dynamics by Karl Reisinger from FH JOANNEUM (Austria), followed by a full day on vertical vehicle dynamics and vehicle dynamics simulation by Sanjarbek Ruzimov from Politecnico di Turino (Italy). On day 2, a short PM meeting was implemented to update the partners on current tasks and activities in the UNITED project, which was followed by a site visit at PT. INNOVAM INDONESIA GLOBAL, a training and certification center for the automotive industry.
In the evening, the UNITED partners were invited by the rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara to a delightful dinner, where we all enjoyed delicious Indonesian food.
On day 3 and 4, Thilo Röth from FH Aachen taught about future mobility, vehicle concepts, automotive body engineering and vehicle passive safety & crashworthiness.
The training in Medan was wrapped up with a visit at Galeri Ulos Sianipar to shop some souvenirs.
