The "Chulalongkorn Engineering Knowledge Transfer Unit" aims to educate and train chosen technical personnel in Thai Automotive Industry on coming trends in hybrid technology and electrical vehicles (EVs).

Vision:
Enhancing Next Generation Automotive Technology Competency in Thailand Automotive Sector

Mission: Conduct training sessions and share knowledge obtained in the UNITED training programs, and provide hands-on experience using the equipment obtained through the UNITED program.

Objective: Upskill the industry technical staff with Hybrids/EV technology

  • Module A: Interlock, Battery, and Safe handling of HV System [Lecture and laboratory, 6 hours]
  • Interlock in hybrid and all-electric vehicles
  • Battery disconnect unit in hybrid and all-electric vehicles
  • Safe handling of HV systems

  • Module B: DC/AC conversions [Lecture and laboratory, 6 hours]
  • Fundamentals of DC-AC Conversion in Vehicles
  • DC-DC step-up converters in hybrid and all-electric vehicles
  • DC-DC step-down converters in hybrid and all-electric vehicles

  • Module C: PWM and Electric drives [Lecture and laboratory, 6 hours]
  • PWM signals in automotive engineering
  • Electric automotive drives
  • 48 V onboard electric system in motor vehicles

EQUIPMENT

The equipment consists of the PWM signals in automotive engineering, Electric automotive drives, fundamental DC-AC conversion in vehicles, DC-DC step-up converters, DC-DC step-down converters, interlock in hybrid and all electric vehicles, battery disconnect unit in hybrid and all electric vehicles, safety handling of HV systems, 48 V onboard electric system in motor vehicles.
